The founder of AP Chicago South, a 1600-strong online community dedicated to providing peer support for families who practice Attachment Parenting, Christine Sheets has been assisting parents through pregnancy, baby loss, post-partum adjustment, and early childhood for more than a decade.  For the past five years, she has been attending births professionally to offer emotional and mental support and physical comfort measures.

For over 12 years, Christine has been a Babywearing Educator — conducting workshops and providing one-on-one consultations.  She organized the Designer Showcase for the 2008 International Babywearing Conference.

Christine created three childbirth information series:  Organic Birth — A Wholistic Approach to Education and Preparation; and the Wonderful Weekend Childbirth Class; as well as a One Day Instensive Childbirth Class.  She is often invited to speak on birth and parenting topics for parenting groups, college classes, area hospitals and local businesses.

Christine currently serves as the Vice President for Illinois Friends of Midwives (ILFOM);  as the Co-Facilitator for Chicago Area Homebirth Meetup; and on the Childbirth Education Advisory Committee for Evidence Based Birth®.  In 2015, Christine was honored to serve as Administrator for a fundraiser to benefit the Beverly Breast Cancer Walk. Christine Sheets Birth Services Inc. is a member of the Southside Women’s Business Alliance and Southside (net)Working Women.

Born and raised outside of St. Louis, Christine now lives in the Southwest suburbs with her husband and three children. All of her children were born in a hospital setting with a CNM (certified nurse midwife) and a doula. Christine and her husband educate their children at home through child-led learning. She is an avid reader and genealogist who creates the funniest cross-stitch in the tri-state area.
